| | | Congratulations!
Whenever we sit down with a bride and groom, who may be wondering "where to begin," we suggest we start with your "perfect" reception. What is your vision of the day? How can we imprint your personality on this most special occasion? |
How many times have you planned a wedding reception? How many times have you planned a party for so many people? You are preparing for a once in a lifetime event. We will guide you through the process without imposing our plan on you. At Eric & Company, we don't believe in "cookie cutter" wedding receptions. This is your wedding day and the goal is to create your vision.
- Let's begin with the time of day ... are you planning a daytime or evening reception?
- Would you like to serve your guests a bountiful assortment of hors d'oeuvres?
- Are you planning a more "traditional" dinner menu?
- Would you like buffet or plate service?
- What type of wedding cake will make the day perfect?
- Have you thought about the type of beverage you would like to offer your guests?
- Do you have a budget within which you would like to work?
There are many details involved in the planning of a wedding. At Eric & Company we believe that the magic is in the details. We want to assist you in making sure everything is well defined so that you can truly enjoy the day.
We invite you to browse our menu pages. These ideas are just a sampling of the many choices available. (This link will take you directly to our sample menus.)
Let's talk a bit about your cake ...
There are countless choices of flavors, fillings and decorations to consider when looking for your wedding cake. Fortunately, we are proud to work with several very talented bakers. Feel free to contact them directly or we can coordinate everything for you.
To begin with, think about:
- style
- shape
- flavor
- size

- price
For the bride on a budget, remember that the price will depend on the ingredients and style you choose. The more elaborate the decoration, the higher the cost. We can offer some cost saving suggestions as you plan this aspect of your wedding.
It's helpful and fun to look at photographs of wedding cakes on the internet, in books and in bridal magazines. This will help both you and your baker to create the perfect design for your cake. A picture really is "worth a thousand words."
And speaking of pictures ...
We are grateful to Bob Blanken, of Blanken Photography Studios, and Theresa Monturano and Alejo Pesce, of flutterphoto, for many of the pictures of our events that we have featured on our site. We recommend you give them a call when you begin your search for the right person to artfully photograph your wedding. See more about flutterphoto at WeddingWire.com.
